Fertility Acupuncture in Kitchener-Waterloo
If you are trying to conceive — whether naturally or through IUI or IVF — you deserve care that treats your whole body, not just your symptoms. As a Registered TCM Practitioner with lived experience navigating PCOS and uterine fibroids, I understand how deeply personal and emotionally complex this journey can be. Fertility acupuncture offers evidence-informed, personalized support to help your body become the healthiest possible foundation for conception and a healthy pregnancy.
How Fertility Acupuncture Works
Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to regulate the flow of Qi and Blood through the reproductive system. From a biomedical perspective, this translates to improved ovarian blood flow, balanced hormone levels, a more receptive uterine lining, and a calmer nervous system — all of which are critical for conception.
What Fertility Acupuncture Can Support
Natural Conception
For those trying to conceive naturally, acupuncture helps regulate menstrual cycles, support healthy ovulation, and address underlying patterns that may be affecting fertility — such as PCOS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, low AMH, or recurrent miscarriage.
IUI & IVF Support
Acupuncture is widely used alongside assisted reproductive technologies. Treatments are timed to your IUI or IVF protocol to help improve egg quality, support follicular development, prepare the uterine lining for implantation, and reduce the physical and emotional stress of fertility treatment.
Conditions I Commonly Support
Irregular or absent menstrual cycles
Lack of ovulation
PCOS (now referred to as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome / PMOS)
Endometriosis / Adenomyosis
Uterine fibroids
Low AMH / Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) / Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR)
Recurrent miscarriage
Unexplained infertility
What to Expect
At your initial visit, we will review your full health history using TCM assessments including pulse and tongue diagnosis. I will then create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your cycle, your fertility goals, and whether you are preparing for natural conception or an assisted reproductive cycle.
Most patients benefit from weekly or biweekly treatments. Because oocyte maturation takes approximately 90 to 120 days, I recommend beginning treatment at least three menstrual cycles before your target conception date for the most meaningful results.
